Dental Crowns Save Teeth
Everyone wants to chew comfortably and have teeth that look like real teeth! When a large portion of your natural tooth is no longer functional, its usually time for a crown.
Dental crowns are durable covers or caps that are carefully fitted around the visible portion of a problem tooth to protect it from further damage. Sometimes crowns are used to cover a tooth where a large cavity existed, to replace old metal fillings, or to keep broken teeth from breaking further. Crowns can be made of a variety of materials but at Start Smiling Dental our crowns are made entirely of porcelain which is the highest quality available. All-Porcelain Crowns replicate the look of natural teeth more accurately than other available options and since they have no metal, you'll never get the dark line near your gum.
To create a custom crown, our dental team first prepares the tooth and takes impressions that will be sent to the dental laboratory. A temporary crown will be placed on the tooth while the permanent, custom crown is being made. When the permanent crown is returned to the office, the dentist will fit and set the crown on your tooth. The result will be a beautiful restoration that will function like a natural tooth!
Sometimes, it's possible for us to fabricate your crown in just one visit! Check out our Cerec page for more information!
If you've been told you need a crown and would like a second opinion or just an estimate, give our office a call at 404-255-6782 and we will be happy to help.

Dental Crowns Reviews
"I’m so pleased with my dental work, fillings, crowns, bridges and a partial that fits very well, thanks to Start Smiling and the team I’m Smiling again??"- L.C. / Google / Aug 26, 2018
"This is my second visit to Dr Sayeg's office and I have nothing but high praise for him and his staff. Following the retirement of my "old" dentist I went searching for someone new. My first visit was an emergency (cracked tooth). The repair required a crown. I have other crowns and no problems with those. This one was almost a perfect fit with very little adjustment required. All the records from my former dentist have been transferred and I expect this will be my last change."- B.V. / Google / Nov 28, 2019

"OMG cannot believe how lucky I have been to find Tom and his colleagues - I am a very very nervous patient, I have been terrified of the dentist all of my life, to the detriment of my teeth. I heard about START SMILING through a friend as I was at my wits end and needed loads of work done. I have just finished a six month programme with the team which included crowns, bridges braces and Veneers!!!!! I had sedation for some of the lengthy appointments which the practise organised fo me. Every single member of the team from receptionists to my amazing dentist TOM were so kind and patient with me and literally called me the next day after every appointment to make sure I was OK. My fear of the dentist is definitely subsiding and I feel confident to now keep up hygienist and prevention appointments which is something I haven't done for over 40 years. Oh....and nearly forgot my smile looks FAB xxxx so thankyou so much to everyone at Start Smiling."- J.M. / Google / Aug 02, 2019
