One person’s snoring can mean the entire family’s discomfort. Research shows that 37 million Americans snore when sleeping which leads to sleepless nights for family members, potentially embarrassing episodes when falling asleep on an airplane or in a theater, and can lead to severe health problems for those who suffer from Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA.)
Snoring occurs when the airway narrows or is partly blocked during sleep, due to nasal congestion, floppy tissue, enlarged tonsils, or depressing effects from alcohol. A Snore Guard is an appliance that fits over your teeth and positions your jaw forward to decrease your snoring. It is a perfect solution for patient's who snore but do not have OSA or for patients who do have OSA an cannot tolerate a CPAP machine.

"I am a fairly new patient and I am blown away by the professionalism and caring nature of this entire practice. My first appointment was a consultation with Mark. He explained exactly what needed to be done and came up with a treatment plan. Then I sat down with Laurie to go over all of the costs.I went back for a cleaning and I was dreading it! I have very sensitive teeth and one of the last dentists I went to was not even able to clean them. I have to admit that I started off with a bad attitude but she put me at ease. She was the most kind and gentle hygienist I’ve ever been to in my life. Plus, I love those flat screen TVs they have with Netflix and other channels. It makes a big difference to be distracted and entertained. Everyone in the office is smiling and friendly! The office is nicely decorated and the location is easy to find. I’m so glad that my search for a fantastic dentist has ended!"- L.F. / Google / Mar 14, 2019
What is a SNORE GUARD
A Snore Guard is an appliance that fits over your teeth and positions your jaw forward in order to keep your airway open. We use different types of appliances to fit your specific needs and will periodically adjust your appliance to maximize your comfort and keep you from snoring.
What to Expect@headingTag>
To create your Snore Guard, we will first schedule a consultation with you and Dr. Sayeg to discuss your needs and to evaluate which appliance will suit you best.
We will then take impressions of your mouth and create a high-quality customized Snore Guard. You will need a second appointment to fit the appliance and go over any additional instructions. We include 2 years of free adjustments and band changes with every appliance. We also guarantee that the appliance will stop your snoring, or your fee will be refunded.
Cost & Insurance@headingTag>
Snore Guards may be covered by your medical insurance depending on your healthcare benefits. Most coverage requires a Sleep Study and diagnosis of Sleep Apnea. The cost of treatment can vary depending on your personal needs. We will be happy to see you for a free consultation to discuss your needs for snoring treatment.
Our Start Smiling Dental Team will be happy to help you find out if you have benefits and assist you in filing your claim. As always, payment plan options are available and our team will help you find a way to afford the treatment you need to get a better night's sleep!
