About Removable Dentures
Removable Dentures are prosthetic appliances that replace missing teeth. When multiple teeth are missing, a removable denture can restore your smile and help you talk and eat comfortably once more. Removable Dentures may be:
- Complete - meaning all the teeth on an arch are missing
- Partial - meaning some of the teeth on an arch are missing
- Implant Retained - meaning the denture snaps into dental implants for better fit and comfort
At Start Smiling Dental, our Removable Dentures are all customized to your anatomy for the best fit possible. We also offer many other customizable options, such as tooth shade and shape, to get you a natural, comfortable new smile!
Give our office a call at 404-255-6782 today to schedule and appointment to see which prosthetic might be right for you.

What Kind of Denture Do I need
When it comes to making a prosthetic appliance, every patient has different needs. While there are many denture clinics that get patients in an out as quickly as possible, Start Smiling Dental takes a more personalized approach. We will first meet with you to find out what your needs and wants are. Some patients are looking for the most economical way to replace missing teeth, others may have had a prosthetic but are unhappy with the look or fit and want to upgrade. No matter what your needs, our doctors will work with you to find an option that works for you.
If all the teeth on your upper or lower arch are missing, a Complete Denture will be needed. Complete Dentures can be designed to give you the smile you always wanted with customizable teeth shades and shapes!
If you are missing more than a few teeth on an arch, a Partial Denture may be the right choice. We will design your appliance to fit and blend in with your natural teeth. While a Partial Denture is held in with metal clasps around the surrounding teeth, it can also be customized to have no metal showing.
If you have had an appliance before, and are having trouble with the fit and comfort, you may want to consider an Implant Retained Denture. In this case, implants are surgically placed below the gum line. After a healing period, abutments are placed on the implants which then snap into your denture. This keeps the denture from shifting around or popping out when you eat or talk.
Care instructions for dentures will be provided by your Start Smiling dental team to help you keep your dentures clean and in good condition. Removable dentures can last 2-10 years with proper care, including regular dental exams as often as recommended by your dental physicians to check the wear of your dentures and the health of your gums and mouth.
Since every patient's needs are different, the costs can also vary. The first step in getting a comfortable, beautiful prosthetic appliance is to see one of our dentists for an exam and consultation. At that appointment, they will go over your wants and needs and design a plan to get you the smile you've always wanted! Give our office a call at 404-255-6782 today to get started!
Insurance: Dental Insurance may cover a portion of your denture costs depending on your plan. If you'd like us to check what your benefits in our office would be, give one of our insurance experts a call today - 404-255-6782.
